(More customer reviews)I am looking for plans to build a simple cabin on some land with the idea that the cabin will morph into a guest house when the main house goes up. This seemed like just the thing. One would not expect a "camp" house or "cabin" to be an intricate design with dormers, turrets, decks only a professional would build for himself, attached garages and four levels (a multi-level bedecked cottage? Isn't it at that point NOT a cottage?). These go up to 4,000 square feet. Even the less than 1000 sq ft houses have stunning architectural features such as custom-made floor-to-ceiling windows, skylights and wrap-around porches.
It's not a BAD book, it just wasn't what I was looking for. If you want some beautiful homes where the decks and porches are the same size of the house, or beautifully designed homes and can afford these, then this is a great book--400 pages worth! A good buy for the someone not looking for a simple cottage or cabin.
