Americans use to grow their food. In addition, children learned lessons that you cannot teach in a classroom on a farm. Moreover, Anansi learns many lessons in Anansi and the Pots of Beans in his grandmother's fields. For example, he learned that you often make a fool of yourself when you do not listen to grown ups. Finally, you could teach your children what happens when do not follow instructions with this book. In other words, Anasi will never forget his grandmother's pot of beans.
