(More customer reviews)I am the President of a small condo building and like most condo owners I had little knowledge on how to approach our construction and repair projects when I took office: about finding the right contractors, defining the scope of work, figuring out what questions to ask, and keeping things legal. Its quite a learning curve and I wish this book would have been available when I started. But even after years of doing such projects, this book is my new reference for anything from checking contractors workers comp to preparing to-do lists when approaching any building project. It should be mandatory reading for anybody who is an officer or director on a condo board. It is also a great read in general and if you are building you own home, you have more guts than me, but don't start without it.
