(More customer reviews)This book is great for the person that knows absolutely nothing about building a house! It covers the whole process from choosing land all the way to finishing touches on your house & adding a deck. I especially liked that the authors broke everything down as if they were explaining it to cavemen. A lot of authors assume you already know what a sill is or what gussets are for, which I did not. If you're planning on building your own house there were a few helpful tips that I found useful for when you are getting all of your ducks in a row. If you already know the basics then you'll probably be bored out of your mind reading this except for a few blurbs here and there but for a beginner it's a great place to start.
